Chef Gigi speaks on topics surrounding food prep, picky eaters, and crazy mealtimes. Are you are a busy parent, or leading a group who needs help on how to simplify parenting life?

Current Speaking Topic for the Fall 2018- 2019 Season :

Food Fight, for Parents of Picky Eaters is a practical, hands on guide with simple solutions. Loaded with over 100 family friendly recipes, and proven tips that work. During my talk, I speak on why we have picky eaters, positive parenting and a few simple techniques. I also sprinkled you with a few tips on how to elicit the science behind flavor; just like professional chefs do. Discussing the science of flavor will help gain additional insurance. Once you are able to bring the child to the food, the food should taste good too.

I complete the lecture with a sample taste association of liquids or solids enhanced with umami ingredients so participants can identify why adding an umami ingredient to their cooking repertoire will make a difference. Umami- ( oooh- mommy ) is our mysterious fifth taste sensation. A taste sensation that is savory and delicious. We all have the four primary tastes: sweetness, sourness, bitterness and saltiness. Umami —is not on our tongues, but within certain foods. Foods in which umami occur naturally, include red meats, fish, vegetables and dairy. When humans eat, we use all our senses to form judgments. The umami experience can help us win the food fight battle!
